Dogs in the rain
Sometimes there's nothing more between us
than a word, but we forgot how to speak
And sometimes there's nothing more between us
than two doors, but we are too weak
Dogs like us never learned how to use an umbrella
when the rain pours down on them
So let's run faster and faster in search for shelter
until the sun will shine again
These streets are so familiar,
we've walked them together so many times
that sometimes I look down
in search for our footprints in the stones
And then I look up to your window
to find out if you're at home
and I'm glad if there's no light shining
cos' again I don't know what to say
But then I push up the door
and I see you sitting there in total darkness
The music is silent and sad
and I realize that we've never needed to talk
So fuck your umbrella, summon all the clouds
and let the rain pour down on us
Our screams and laughter, the thoughts that we share,
are the only shelter that we need
Let's crash the hourglasses
to make the time run out faster
until we meet again!
